Dussling, Jennifer. Gargoyles: Monsters in Stone. New York, NY: Grosset & Dunlap, 1999. 
This illustrated, easy-to-read book for children introduces the reader to gargoyles from medieval times to the present.

Gasch, Wendy True. Guide to Gargoyles and Other Grotesques. Washington, DC: Cathedral Guidebooks, 2003.
This excellent resource includes information about the history and purpose of gargoyles and provides a photographic tour and narrative describing the 112 gargoyles that reside at the National Cathedral.

   

Fiction Books

The secret life of gargoyles is revealed when they  leave their perches atop  a museum,  flying through the night sky. Told in rhyme and illustrated in black and white, this slightly scary picture book creates a sense of mystery.
